JV soccer falls short of a win against the GW eagles
On Tuesday night, the JV soccer team played against the George Washington High School Eagles, losing 0-2.
The game started out with GW scoring a goal within the first five minutes of the game, putting them in the lead 0-2. Despite falling behind so quickly, the JV team kept a positive attitude and continued to play their best.
Sophomore goalie Chad Weatherford saved the ball several times from going into the goal. At one point, when the Eagles tried to score a goal, the ball bounced off the rim of the goal back onto the field.
At the beginning of the second half, the Eagles were still in the lead 0-1. Shortly into the half, the Eagles scored their second goal, leaving the score at 0-2.
The JV team will be back in action on April 20 vs. Bassett at Bassett High School.
