Preview of the Creative Writing issue
The Trojan Messenger is proud to announce that the upcoming Creative Writing issue will be out soon, in a new magazine format. This issue will be entitled The Type, and will be $1, but those who have purchased a subscription to the Trojan Messenger will receive one as part of their subscription.
There are many students featured in The Type, including seniors Tre’ Thomas and Kayla Watkins, and juniors Megan Cassada and Patience Banks.
The following is a sneak peak of what will be featured in The Type, along with students performing the poem in rap format.
Mister
I only got meaner since I got the misdemeanor
And this world is my arena
So I’m John Cena
‘Cept my thrown is super lucid
You know me, the nuisance
Throwing in my two cents, my deuces
Stoned like I woke up with Medusa
And we both hallucinating
Waiting on the crucifixion
Wishing it was fiction of fate
My vision is late
It makes decision irate
At this rate, I’ll see detention in my living as fate
So today, my revise is living a dream
If given a beam 24/7 could I make it to heaven?
No gold rolls just gold streets I’m just an old soul with cold feet
For Pete sakes I’m cliché
Tre’ Thomas
