Sergeant Mark Vance
Sergeant First Class Mark Vance is the new JROTC teacher. He has previously taught JROTC for 13 years and Vance served 24 years in the Army, he also graduated from Fort Hays State University. Ms. Lisa McAlister
Ms. Lisa McAlister is another one of the many new additions to the English department this year. She is currently teaching English 10 and also taught Creative Writing last semester. McAlister got her undergraduate degree in English from Belmont Abbey College and her master's degree in English Literature from UNC Charlotte. Another new addition to the English department is Ms. Victoria Credle and she is teaching English 9 this year. This may be her first year at THS, but this is her 5th year teaching. Ms. Bowker is an Averett University graduate who teaches ninth grade Honors English, ninth grade English, and tenth grade English. She is in her second year of teaching. Ms. Montana Midkiff is a Radford University graduate who teaches Art I, II, and III. This is her first year teaching as well as her first year teaching at Tunstall. Mr. Cameron Hairston is the new inclusion teacher and he also teaches a support class. For inclusion he goes into other teachers' classrooms to help students out and for support class students get the opportunity to come into his classroom for extra time to work on assignments. Mr. Moore is an algebra teacher at Tunstall who graduated from Appalachian State University. He has been in the education field for 15 years. When he isn’t teaching, he can be found playing golf, woodworking, and exercising.
