Tunstall basketball sweeps Bassett
On January 16, 2015, the boys varsity basketball team took on the Bassett High School Bengals and won 66-53. Tunstall holds a 7-7 record.
Bassett’s defense worked hard to stop Tunstall from scoring; however, Tunstall’s offense overpowered the Bengals throughout the game. Tunstall’s defense also played very well during the game.
Tunstall started and finished the game with a score ahead of Bassett.
Junior guard Will McCraw kept Bassett from scoring and scored 6 points himself.
“I think I played well tonight, but I have to give it to my team, I couldn’t have done it without them.” stated McCraw.
Senior forward Matt Pyrtle also showed off on the court scoring 18 points and adding 7 assists, 7 steals, and 1 block.
“Since it was a home game it was important we win the game and we communicated very well during the game,” said Pyrtle.
