Mr. Marcus Huffman

Mr. Huffman came to Tunstall in August of 2022 as the new U.S history and comparative religion teacher. This is not the first school he’s taught; he taught at Forest Park Academy from 2008 to 2010 and Magna Vista High School from 2020 to 2022. He attended Virginia Tech in 2008 and got his Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2014. He likes teaching but it’s a challenge sometimes managing all the different personalities of the students. However, he enjoys all his students and their very interesting personalities. He also enjoys his coworkers as they are very welcoming towards him. He has become friends with Mr. Book and Mrs. Gunter. “I love Tunstall! It feels like heaven. I’m living my dream,” said Mr. Huffman. He is a coach for the varsity football team, and it’s his first year doing it. He works with the linebackers, quarterbacks, and receivers. When he attended Tunstall, he was on the football team and also the co-captain in 2002. He played offensive guard and linebacker. He was also a wrestler and the captain of the team his senior year. That year they won the district championship and went to the state tournament.
