On August 24th of this year Starbucks had their annual fall drink release and the coffee lovers went crazy. Along with the new drinks, they also had three bakery items that have been released. One was new, and the other two were classics. They have a wide variety of coffee for when you are feeling in the fall spirit!
Alongside the delicious drinks they have all year round, the five fall drinks consist of: apple crisp oat milk macchiato, pumpkin cream cold brew, iced pumpkin cream chai tea latte, iced apple crisp oat milk shaken espresso, and the classic pumpkin spice latte!
Starting off with the apple crisp oat milk macchiato. This drink is specifically for the apple lovers. It has a strong taste of both apple and coffee. This drink honestly was not my favorite, but I am not the biggest fan of oatmilk.
The pumpkin cream cold brew is a staple for fall as well. Just like a classic cold brew, this drink has an addition of pumpkin cold foam, which is my favorite! The pumpkin foam can also be ordered for any other drink. Personally I love adding the foam onto an iced white chocolate mocha.
My favorite drink is the iced pumpkin cream chai tea latte. If you like a sugary coffee drink with a hint of cinnamon, you will love this drink.
Up next is the iced apple crisp oat milk shaken espresso. Just like the apple crisp oat milk macchiato, this drink tastes similar. With both drinks having the apple crisp taste, this drink is the perfect balance of spiced apple flavor, smooth espresso, and creamy oat milk for a leveled-up autumn espresso beverage.
Last but not least, the fall staple: the pumpkin spice latte! I have tried the hot and iced version, but personally I like the warmed version best. On a cold rainy day, I think a delectable hot latte is perfect!
Along with the new drinks, they also have two new bakery items and one returning item. The pumpkin cream cheese muffin, baked apple croissant, and an owl cake pop. The baked apple croissant has a warm, soft bread wrapped around apple filling and baked to a crisp. The owl cake pop consists of a vanilla cake mixed with buttercream, and dipped in purple chocolate icing. Although they are all delicious, I am obsessed with the pumpkin cream cheese muffin. The snack is a pumpkin flavored baked muffin, with cream cheese filling inside. Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of cream cheese, but with the pumpkin flavor it tastes great. All in all, Starbucks’ releases helped me get into the fall spirit.
