There is no down playing it, I am obsessed with Harry Edward Styles. I am not quite sure where it all began, but it was somewhere between 1D and his solo debut.
I was at the crisp age of five when One Direction first formed, and I haven’t been the same since. It was the brunette, curly haired one that drew me in. I was a Harry fan from day one.
I watched every interview, every concert, every… anything. If Harry was in it, I would be watching. The day One Direction broke up was probably the worst day of my life. I had no idea if I would ever see my love, Harry, again. It was devastating.
Thankfully, in 2017 my life changed yet again. Harry released his first self-titled, solo album: Harry Styles. The obsession I thought I had doubled, tripled. I was invested for the rest of forever.
Then, just before the explosion of the Pandemic, Harry released Fine Line. If you have ever heard an album so transcendent and life flipping, it would be this plus 1,000. There is no logical description of the brilliance behind this album except for the over 7.9 billion streams the song had received by fans almost as devoted as me.
Album of the Year, Harry’s House, is my permanent residence. I will never leave and never sell. It is actually and truly engraved onto my soul. The lyrics are written on my clothes, water bottle, notebook, lunchbox, and car. I could not move on if I tried.
While Harry’s music is incredibly important to his success, he would not be where he is now without his beautiful ability to express his emotions and show his gorgeous sense of fashion. Masculine and beautiful, Harry is the only man on the planet who can pull off a tutu.
There is a vulnerability in Harry’s fashion. Even in the modern world of today, it is hard for men to express themselves in a feminine way, or to show their true style without the fear of being mocked or ridiculed. Harry’s fashion and the vulnerability in his fashion is truly inspirational.
Something else Harry has perfectly tackled is launching his self-care brand called Pleasing. The brand designs nail polishes, skin care, hand care, towels, tote bags, and clothing items all beautifully and in an environmentally friendly way. He released his first collection, Perfect Pearl, during the middle of the Covid Pandemic when everyone needed a little bit of self-care. Each micro-collection is based on a partnership with small organizations, each looking to better the environment and our community. The most recent release, Pollinators, was part of a collaboration with Project Roots a nonprofit organization focused on educating the community about growing food and providing for those in need.
With a fan base larger than the Pacific Ocean, Harry is here to stay. So you might as well get used to it. He’s not going anywhere. He is an artist, model, singer, actor, fashion icon, entrepreneur, and producer. Harry is literally carrying the whole of the pop culture industry on his shoulders.
I will leave you with a quote to live by, “Money Is Fake Harry Styles is Forever.”
