Fall is one of the most awaited times of the year. For some people the autumn air brings family time and good foods, for others it means haunted houses and everything wicked. There are many different activities that this time of the year brings to the table, such as pumpkin carving, haunted houses, movies, and more. There are many people that crave the feeling of the air cooling and seeing the leaves change. It is finally their time of the year.
Sophomore Blake Pruitt is one of fall’s biggest fans. “I love the fall weather and all of the different activities that you can do,” Pruitt said. She loves busting out her sweaters and flannels as soon as the weather lets her. The Pruitt’s have many traditions that they take part in each year, but one tradition that stands out to them the most is their family Halloween tree. The tree is white with different Halloween themed bulbs and decor covering it. Pruitt also loves her Thanksgiving meals with her family and enjoys the times she gets to spend with them.
Freshman Logan Ross loves fall weather and has been eagerly awaiting the time that she can begin wearing her autumn wardrobe. “I like fall weather because it isn’t too hot or too cold, and it is the perfect weather to do everything outside,” Ross said. Ross loves going to pumpkin patches and haunted houses with friends and family as a tradition each year. She also enjoys painting pumpkins with her grandma and brother. Ross’s favorite fall holiday is Thanksgiving because her family gets together to eat some of her favorite foods and deserts.
Sophomore Katelyn Brooks enjoys spending the fall season with all of her friends and family. Brooks’s favorite fall clothing trend would have to be sweaters and sweater vests because she loves the comfort and style that comes with them. She loves dressing up to go to pumpkin patches and doing all of her favorite fall things, but she doesn’t like going to haunted houses because she does not enjoy being scared. Her favorite holiday in the fall time is Thanksgiving because she loves to see her family and create memories with them each year. “My favorite Thanksgiving foods are mashed potatoes and rolls,” Brooks said.
Science teacher Mrs. Burton is a fall stan, but her favorite thing would have to be the weather. “The crisp air and the leaves changing colors is my favorite thing about fall,” Burton said. She loves to wear cute sweaters, bootcut jeans, and boots in the autumn. She likes to carve pumpkins with her children and husband because she cherishes her relationship with them and loves those memories. Every October her and her family take a trip to the mountains to have picnics, eat fudge, and hike to enjoy the mountainous view. “Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because I think we should take time to be thankful and not just be thankful for one day,” Burton said.
Sophomores Brayden Fowlkes and Caroline Clay enjoy many fall activities together. They enjoy many movies together, and it has become one of their most recent obsessions. Clay’s favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus because it has been a tradition for her to watch it each and every year. “I like the Halloween movie because it is scary,” Fowlkes said. Clay plans to make Halloween cookies, go to haunted houses, and spend Thanksgiving with Fowlkes this year. Both of them love getting to see their families over an amazing home-cooked meal for Halloween.
