Most girls used to wear bows as little kids. They were big, and they usually had some fun designs. I had a big collection of bows because I wore them every day. When I got older, I quit wearing them along with most girls my age. This year they have become popular for older girls to wear them, but they are a different style. 

Bows can add something extra to an outfit to make it look dressier than it is. While walking around school, I also see people wearing ribbons tied to make little bows. Usually people will put them around their ponytail or just tie them where they will stand out for their hairstyle. 

There are so many different ways to wear bows. Lots of people wear them in a slicked back ponytail with a cute outfit. I like to clip them in my hair when I do a half-up half-down look because they make my outfit look dressier. 

Some other ways to style bows are in athletic hairstyles. Many girls who do cute elaborate hairdos will tie red ribbons on them to match school colors. Lydia Davis, a sophomore, would wear ribbons over her ponytail for cross country races. She would wear them so she could show more team spirit. 

Reagan Vickers, a junior, wears ribbons with her hairstyles. “I think it’s a great addition to the accessories for girls because it can show off personality,” Vickers said. She likes them because some days she can add something to her hair and outfit because it looks elegant. Vickers loves to do her hair in different hairstyles, and she either puts in half-up half-down or with braids. 

Bows and ribbons are becoming more popular now. There are so many people who wear them to dress up their outfit a little bit. All of the unique hairstyles you can do make bows and ribbons look elegant.
