On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded Israel during the Supernova music festival. Israel is located in the MIddle East along the eastern coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. Gaza is bordered by the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, Egypt, and Israel. After about 12 days of the invasion, 4,200 Palestinians and Israelis were killed.  

Hamas is a terrorist organization located in the Gaza strip. Israel has faced many oppositions since the beginning of its existence. Many Americans feel obligated to pick which side to agree with or to disagree with. This has caused a great divide between Americans.

“We will stand with Israel when this ground assault begins, and we will stand with Israel every day through the hard fighting and loss that will occur until they achieve an outright victory,” politician Mike Pence said.

America has struggled whether to understand Israel’s pain or if it is too much in retaliation to Hamas’ attack. Some feel that Israel has its right to defend itself from any foreign invasion. Others believe that Israel has reacted in an irrational manner.

All of this is hard to comprehend for both sides. We all have our differences, but as America we need to all come to an agreement that is best for the innocent caught in the crossfire
