Red Queen
Mare Barrow is a teenage girl living in a world divided by blood. She and her family are Reds who are forced to serve the Silvers. The Silvers are gifted with supernatural powers that help them keep the Reds in check. Mare steals to keep her family alive and tries to avoid conscription to the army on her eighteenth birthday. When her best friend is about to be conscripted, she takes a chance that could end her life or save him.
By a strange twist of fate, Mare finds herself at the King’s palace. As she serves the Silvers, an accident that should have ended her life changed it forever. She discovers that she has powers of her own, but she is a Red.
The king notices this impossibility and devises a plan to keep her secret hidden. She becomes a lost Silver princess and is engaged to one of the King’s sons. As Mare’s time at the palace grows longer, the dangers of the Silver’s world become more eminent. She discovers a group of rebels called the Scarlett Guard. She risks everything to aid them in their quest for freedom.
