Black Friday is one of the most popular commercial holidays in American history. Black Friday takes place every year on the day after Thanksgiving. It sparks the start of the Christmas shopping season with extraordinary sales that are only available on this  commercial holiday. There is a lot of stress that comes with the Christmas season and with little time to prepare, shoppers across America take to the stores as soon as possible.  

The first usage of the term “Black Friday” started back in the 50s. The commercial holiday gets its name from black representing the financial prosperity of a business. This is in contrast to red representing the financial deficit.

The hustle and bustle of the commercial holiday season has been around for decades. Black Friday is a stressful day for retail employees and customers. Customers are faced with the stress of finding deals, finding products that aren’t sold out, and dealing with other shoppers. Retail employees face the worst of it from dealing with customers and maintaining order on such a busy shopping day. 

However, Black Friday can be a very exciting day for many people. It’s one of the biggest and busiest days of the year where shoppers can indulge and prepare themselves for the holiday season.
