Do you prefer store-bought drinks over homemade ones? Starbucks is a popular place where people usually go to purchase coffee. Recently, Starbucks has made a bottle version of the drinks they serve to sell in stores. Many other places that are similar to Starbucks have done this too, such as Dunkin Donuts.
A frappuccino is a blended coffee drink with ice and milk that is popular at Starbucks. They came out with a bottle version in stores that is somewhat similar to the original one. It is made in a glass bottle that is colored depending on the flavor. Sophomore Madeleine Jones is very familiar with these drinks and gets them every Sunday when going to the grocery store. “I prefer store bought drinks because I can buy packs of four and drink them throughout the week,” Jones said. Just recently, Jones tried the Christmas edition peppermint mocha that came out in stores and she really likes it.
The Pink Drink at Starbucks is one of the most common drinks for people who don’t enjoy coffee. It has a strawberry acai base mixed with coconut milk and strawberries. In stores, it is made in a plastic bottle that is colored pink with the Starbucks logo. It can be found in most store fridges located next to other Starbucks drinks.
Dunkin, another popular coffee place, also sells their french vanilla iced coffee in stores. It is sold in a plastic bottle that has an orange bottle cap. Sophomore Makenzie Miller gets this drink often, usually at Walgreens or any gas station. She says that store bought coffee is a faster option than going to Dunkin. It is also more convenient because you can open and close the lid. Miller likes to get these drinks before dance class or on the way to vacation. “Store bought has a better price than the ones at Dunkin,” Miller said.
Instead of small drinks, stores also sell big bottles of coffee that are made by Starbucks. It is made in a 48 ounce plastic bottle that is a dark green color. On the front, it labels how roasted the coffee is. Sophomore Kaitlyn Gregory loves getting this kind of coffee. She purchases this every Sunday to have during the week before school. Gregory likes the taste and doesn’t think there is a difference between this and actual Starbucks. However, Gregory recommends both for different reasons. “Buying at Starbucks adds a feeling, while buying at a store adds convenience,” Gregory said.
Store bought coffee has a better price, similar taste, and it is more convenient for when you’re on the go. Next time you go by a gas station, stop by and try these popular drinks!
