It’s no secret that the Tunstall football team has been working hard to rebuild their program, and they are eager to show off their progress in the upcoming season. Before kicking off the new football season, Kaden Brower, Eben Turner, and Will Ingram were asked to cast predictions on how the season would go. Seeing that they are the captains of the team, their opinions are worth taking note of.
Before asking about the players’ predictions, reporter Colby Eastwood asked the coach and the captains what they had been doing to prepare for the season. “We have been lifting since early January trying to gain muscle and endurance, and started getting on the field in March,” senior Eben Turner said. “Conditioning has been a big portion of training for us since we started back,” senior Will Ingram said.
The boys think that Magna Vista will be their toughest competition this year, because “their plays are put together very well,” senior Kaden Brower said. “Their whole team is basically D1,” senior Eben Turner said to expand on their thoughts. “I think they have a good shot at Magna Vista as long as they communicate well,” added Manager/videographer, Halle Cassada.
When asked about their predictions on the season, Turner replied quickly saying “10-0.” “Realistically, we will probably go 6-4,” said Brower and Ingram. They forecasted this record saying that they were giving themselves room for error, however, Eben Turner is going all in. The Trojans will have their first official game on Friday, August 30th.
The Trojans have a bright future ahead of them, and everyone is looking forward to a great season of football!
