Since in 1965, an educational travel group, EF Tours, has been working with teachers to plan trips for their students. These trips have a huge impact on not only the students but also the teachers who take them. In June, English teacher Mrs. Adrian Nester took 33 students and their families on a nine-day trip to London and Paris. This trip consisted of two travel days and seven days in London and Paris. Before going on this trip, she took a three-day training trip to Paris with Ms. Tiffany Bowker, who also chaperoned.
Nester says her favorite part of going to London and Paris was the last day of the trip, which they spent in Paris. Nester loved going on all of the excursions, one of which was Windsor Castle. She says she has always loved to travel which made her want to open the opportunity to her students. She loves getting to see them building relationships with each other that they otherwise would not have made.
Bowker also went on this trip with Mrs. Nester as a chaperone. She said she wanted to go on this trip because she had always wanted to travel. Since she was a kid, she has always wanted to go to Paris. Even though taking a trip to Paris was a lifelong dream of hers, Bowker says her favorite part was seeing the students explore on this journey. “Watching them get so excited was awesome,” Bowker exclaimed. She also said she loved the excursions they went on while on the trip.
Coming up, they have many more trips planned through EF Tours. During spring break of 2025, Bowker is taking students on a tour to Athens and Argolida, Greece. Then, during the summer, Nester will lead an adult-only trip to Germany and France. Going to London and Paris was an amazing opportunity for those who went, and the upcoming trips will not disappoint.
