Brandon Lake, a recently popular artist, is climbing the charts to number one in Christian music. Lake is 34 years old and is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. His music consists mostly of contemporary worship. He is a former member of Maverick City Music. Lake is mostly known for his song released in 2020: “Gratitude.” His newest single, “That’s Who I Praise,” became very popular on social media. This song talks about some of the Old Testament individuals in the Bible. 

Lake’s album Coat of Many Colors was released in October of 2023. Lake has been very outspoken about the story behind a specific song on this album also called “Coat of Many Colors.” In honor of his album, Lake has his very own coat of many colors. In an interview with K-Love, Lake once said, “This coat represents seasons of my life, reminding me of all the amazing things God has done for me.” His first album was House of Miracles. His most popular song off of this album is “Gratitude.” “Gratitude is one of my favorites because you can dance to your Jesus jams and cry at the same time,” said junior Lauren Torborg. 

Lake’s newest album is TEAR OFF THE ROOF (LIVE FROM THE HOLY CITY) which came out in June of 2024. His Tear Off The Roof Tour began in early March of this year and is still going on. Also, his Summer Worship Nights Tour with Phil Wickham ended on August 28, 2024. Junior, Avalyn Emerson, attended a Wickham concert, and to her surprise, Lake happened to be there. Emerson really enjoyed the concert.
