People have many different opinions about the Mexican restaurants in Danville. The top four Mexican restaurants here are El Vallarta, Santana’s, Los Tres Magueyes, and San Marcos. Normally, each person has one they go to regularly and a reason why it’s their favorite. They all serve similar foods though. All of these restaurants are different and delicious in their own ways.

El Vallarta is located on a hill on Westover Drive. Many people refer to it as “the one on the hill.” They serve authentic Mexican food. Their most popular menu items include burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, ACP, and many different combination plates. They also have different dips (queso, chorizo, etc.). In my opinion, they have the best food and the best cheese dip in town. They also serve the best salsa.

Santana’s is located near the mall. When choosing which Mexican restaurant I want to eat at, it is always between here and El Vallarta. Those are my top two. Santana’s also serves ACP, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, seafood and more. Most of the restaurants here serve similar foods. Santana’s cheese dip is also fantastic.

Los Tres Magueyes is located on Riverside Drive. I had my 16th birthday party there on the patio. Honestly, I didn’t think it was very good. My enchilada was a little dry and barely had any sauce on it. They have a lot of different combinations on their menu to choose from. Combinations here include a taco, burrito, enchilada, or chalupa with sides. I also really like the way their restaurant is decorated. It is very attractive and unique.

San Marcos actually has two locations: one is located in Coleman Marketplace and the other is in Chatham. I don’t particularly like to go to San Marcos often. They have some different types of dip, along with seafood, chicken, burritos, special enchiladas, chimichangas, and more. At almost every Mexican restaurant I get an enchilada with rice and beans. The beans were a little dry as well as the rice the last time I went. I haven’t really been back since.
Personally, my favorite is El Vallarta. I go there at least twice a month. Their cheese dip and salsa are the best. I always get a cheese enchilada with rice and beans, and it is good every time. The salsa doesn’t always taste the exact same, but it never tastes bad. I know almost all the servers there and it is my favorite restaurant to go to when going out to eat with someone! Many people have different opinions when it comes to eating out at restaurants, but all of these offer really good options and good service!
