Danville, Virginia, has been building a Caesars Palace for the past few months, and the construction crews have made tremendous progress. The project announcement was around 2 years ago when a poll was set up and voted on whether the people wanted a casino in town. This has stirred up excitement for the residents of Danville as well as tourists from all over Virginia.

Currently, there is a temporary casino that welcomes everyone 21 or older. The temporary tent consists of the more popular games, such as blackjack, roulette, poker, baccarat, slot machines, and plenty of others. 

The grand opening of Danville’s Caesars is expected to be in late 2024 around December. This casino will be huge, having over 500 hotel rooms in their 29 stories. The building will also have built-in restaurants, a live entertainment theater for comedians to have shows, a sportsbook arena, and a World Series of Poker room.

Some people think this casino unwanted attention and people to Danville. Being that this will be the only Caesars palace in Virginia, it very well could, but this could also make the economy in our town better by creating plenty of new jobs, bringing plenty of business to Danville from tourists, and allowing small and big business owners to become more successful.
