We have three amazing daytime custodians here at Tunstall who work really hard to keep our school clean and sanitized for us. Our daytime custodians are Mike Jones, Danny Booker, and George Scales.
Mike Jones is one of our incredible custodians here and has worked at Tunstall for over 30 years. Jones loves to spend time with his grandkids, work around his house, and fish in his free time. Jones is a big supporter of all of Tunstall’s sports; you can always catch him at any game, whether basketball, football, or volleyball. He loves them all. “Yall. I like messing with you all, and watching you all play sports,” Jones said when asked who inspires him to keep working at Tunstall. Jones has an awesome personality and is a great addition to our school!
George Scales is another great custodian we are lucky to have at Tunstall. He’s been working here for around 19 years and loves his work. Scales likes to sit on his front porch and hang out outside of school. Scales is in charge of making sure all the floors are clean for us daily. When asked why he continues to work here, Scales said, “My children, you all are my children.” Scales works here for us, and I know that I and many others are so thankful to have him!
Danny Booker is our last marvelous daytime custodian. Booker has been working at Tunstall for about 5 years. He loves what he does, but he enjoys cutting the grass the most. In his free time, Booker enjoys working on his farm, where he takes care of his animals. “Mike inspires me every day; he shows me what to be like,” Booker said when asked who inspires him to keep working here. Booker is one of the many kind souls we have here at Tunstall, and we are extra thankful to have him here!
We are so appreciative to have such great custodians here at Tunstall; our school definitely would not be the same without them. October 2nd was National Custodian Apparition Day, so take the time to thank all of our custodians who work so hard to make sure we have a great, clean school!
