On Thursday, October 10th, the Lady Trojans went on the road to face Magna Vista. The Varsity Lady Trojans had an awesome win against the Lady Warriors. The JV Lady Trojans might not have gone home with a win, but they did not give up and took the JV Lady Warriors to a 3rd set. The varsity team won three sets and only lost one. The JV team won one set and lost two.
JV Game
Great plays were made throughout the JV game. In the first set, the JV Lady Trojans had quite a few players that stood out against Magna Vista, like Kenley Barbour, Kara Eastwood, Kennedy Younger, and Sage Abercrombie with their aces. There were also great hits and blocks from Kenley Barbour, Kara Eastwood, Sage Abercrombie, Kinslee Cassell, and Leah Blackwell. To add, Rylee Tune had some impressive digs on the back row. In the second set, the players that stood out were Gianna Reamey with aces, and Kara Eastwood and Kinslee Cassell with many blocks and kills. Leah Blackwell, Rylee Tune, and Kenley Barbour were also helpful on the back row. In the third set, there were some great plays for everyone on the court. Many girls, including Kenley Barbour, Leah Blackwell, and Sage Abercrombie had amazing kills and blocks.
Varsity Game
Some highlights from the first set were Colby Eastwood and Khamauri Mays with aces, and Delaney West with kills. Reagan Vickers also had many successful kills. The final score of this set was 19-25 with the Warriors taking the set. In the second set, there were quite a few digs. Adrey Stevens had several digs on the back row, along with Sadie Glasscock. On the front row, Carleigh Strader, Colby Eastwood, Delaney West, and Reagan Vickers all had impressive kills and blocks. The final score to this set was 25-14 with Tunstall taking the win. In the third set, the Varsity Lady Trojans had amazing plays like Caroline Clay with her digs on the back row. To add Reagan Vickers, Colby Eastwood and Khamauri Mays also had some kills and blocks. The final score for this set was also 25-14 us. For the last set, the Lady Trojans won with the final score being 25-15.
Overall, the Tunstall Lady Trojans played very well against the Magna Vista Warriors. They gave their fans an exciting game, with an even more exciting victory. The Lady Trojans hope to continue their success throughout the last couple games of the regular season.
