Tunstall High School’s basketball teams are gearing up for a new season with a significant number of new players. This year’s roster for varsity consists of Nash Glasscock, Corey Zelinski, Ian Yeatts, Ethan Howell, Graham Haskins, Amarvion Thompson, Braydon Fowlkes, Xavier Christian, Aiden Totten, Christian Clark, Landon Pierce, Emilo Hernandez, Tyler Martin, Brian Leyva, and Dakaden Pritchett.
The new head coach, Rick Yarborough, expressed his expectations for the fresh group saying, “I have big goals for the team this year, and I think with hard work and determination, they will be very successful.“
The Junior Varsity team also has a hefty number of players including Kam Gatewood, Ethan Harden, Zion Murphy, Jaxon Miller, Carter Thompson, Jacob Testerman, Mekhi Rich, Jayden Holliness, JD Adkerson, Camden Joyner, Dawson Hair, Avery Nidiffer, Taliem Salaam (Slim), Kaelob Early, Raydham Fransico (Kyle), Parker Cody.
“I’m excited for this group! We’ve been in the gym since March building skills, strength, and team chemistry. I believe our guys’ hard work will show this season,” said Coach Cam Hairston when asked about his expectations for this year’s team.
With a mix of returning players and players that are new to the team, the upcoming seasons for the teams are looking bright!
