As the Christmas season is approaching, it’s time to start watching our favorite Christmas movies! There are a lot of arguments on which of them are the best.
The Polar Express is a classic Christmas movie that many of us watched as kids. It came out in 2004 and is based on a young boy who was skeptical about the existence of Santa Claus. He then ends up on a train with other children and goes to the North Pole to see the Christmas “magic.” This movie is a great watch with the addition of hot chocolate, popcorn, and a warm blanket.
Home Alone is another one of my favorite Christmas movies. There are six different Home Alone movies, but the first one is the best. Home Alone is based on a little boy who is left at home for the holidays. The movies are all about his adventures before his family returns home. They recently came out with a Home Alone 6 called Home Sweet Home Alone, which can be watched on Disney Plus.
A Christmas Story is a classic Christmas movie, in my opinion. It came out in 1983. It is about a boy named Ralphie Parker and his family’s Christmas break. It is a comedy about their family and has never failed to make me laugh!
Elf is a family comedy that came out in 2003. I remember always watching this as a kid, and it was one of my favorites! The movie is based on an elf, Buddy, who was accidentally transported to the North Pole. Buddy then goes on an adventure to find his real dad in New York City. In the future, I hope that they can come out with an Elf 2.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of the most popular Christmas movies. There have been many productions of this movie, but the best ones are the live-action and the most recent animated one (2018). The live-action version came out in 2000 and has the same plot as the original Dr. Seuss book. The newest animated one also has the same plot. If I were to pick one out of these two though, it would be the live-action version because I just think it is so much better than any of the other ones.
I know that so many of us are really excited for this Christmas. I am looking forward to getting in my Christmas PJs and watching all these movies.
