I’m sure many people are already prepping and planning for which desserts they want to make for their family for Christmas. Each year, I always make a different dessert for Christmas. Last year, for example, I made reindeer-themed cupcakes with brown icing, red M&Ms for the nose, pretzel ears, and black and white icing for the eyes and mouth. I love making Christmas-themed desserts, as it is very fun and creative.
One idea for a popular Christmas dessert is cute snowman cupcakes. You could use white icing with mini Hershey kisses for the eyes and mouth and an orange squiggly line of icing for the nose. I would also recommend using different icing tips to make the two icings more decorative. I would like to make them one Christmas.
One cute idea that I have been thinking about making is snowman cake balls. I would use a chocolate cake inside and cover it in melted white chocolate. Then, I would use decorating icing or gel for the face and a mini Oreo cookie for a cute top hat. These would turn out so cute and be a really sweet dessert.
Another popular one that I see a lot is Santa hat strawberries. You take a strawberry with the stem off, then flip it upside down. Next, you use an icing bag and put white icing around the bottom and a big dot on the top. Then, you have a Santa hat! A cute addition to this would be to make Santa hat brownies. You do the same steps but put the strawberry on top of a Little Bites chocolate muffin. I don’t like strawberries, but this is a cute and tasty dessert for fruit lovers!
Lastly, my family likes to make Christmas tree cake dip. I don’t think it is that good, but it always ends up being eaten more than all of the other desserts we have. All you need is Christmas tree cakes, cream cheese, milk, vanilla, cool whip, and red and green sprinkles. Last year, we dipped graham crackers into the dip, but you can use any dipper that you want to.
There are many Christmas desserts that you can make. Most people just Google cute recipes or make them off the top of their heads. Both work. Baking is very fun, and there is nothing like the warm smells coming from the kitchen on Christmas Day!
