Arcane is a story that starts easily and becomes horrid quickly. The story has a few main key points and characters. The main characters are Jinx/Powder, Vi, Silco, Jayce, Caitlyn, and later on Ekko. This story has many twists and turns as it goes on and it will certifiably break your heart. There is foreshadowing from the moment the series begins, and it’s not easily spotted until you get further into the series.

Arcane tells the story of VI and Powder (also known as Jinx later on),; their parents died in battle, so a man named Vander takes care of them. The story has so many aspects that lead up to different events. Towards the end of the series, we get a glimpse into alternate timelines where Powder(Jinx) does not pick up a hextech sphere as a kid which leads the story to her going insane. As the battles and wars start in Arcane, VI calls Powder a “Jinx” which sparks a thought in her head that she is not needed and slowly drives her insane. Powder eventually became Jinx officially when she thinks VI has abandoned her, and she takes refuge with Silco, who, unknowingly to Jinx, killed her “father” Vander.

While all of this is happening, Jayce is having a conflict with his friend Victor in Piltover. They are trying to develop hextech, but Victor likes using this mystical power for evil. Jayce claims he is using the power for the citizens of Piltover, but Victor does not believe him. Later on, Victor gets caught in a blast and goes into a coma. Jayce puts him in a wall of magical substance that he hopes heals him. 

As the battles progress through the Zaun, Silco comes up with a substance that can make people become stronger, but it makes them uncontrollable. This leads to further creations of more hextech in Piltover. Zaun and Piltover are at war, the siblings are having conflicts, and nobody knows what’s going on. Jinx is conflicted between whether or not she is Powder or Jinx and does not trust anyone for a long time.

Going into season two, there is a plot on the leaders of Piltover in the middle of the funeral for three of the leaders. Jinx and the leaders of the undercity (Zaun) send chemical tanks to attack them during it, and Jayce is attacked by a leader of the undercity wielding a chainsaw. This entire reaction leads to Ekko developing a time travel device, and many deaths, even Jinx eventually. The story is sad, and people should give it a watch. Just be ready to cry. 

Arcane is a series of events that change multiple timelines, it will make you cry. You should give it a watch!
