Penguin’z Snoballs comes to Danville

Recently, Piney Forest Road has become a popular spot for children, teenagers, and even adults because of Penguin’z Snoballs. The new place sells a wide variety of snow cones. It has a tropical theme to it which is apparent by its logo of a penguin beside a palm tree.

Located beside Piney Forest Jewelers, the colorful chairs outside and long lines makes Penguin’z Snoballs easy to recognize. It opened around two weeks ago and is still getting business similar to a grand opening.

There are 50 flavors to choose from with catchy names such as hurricane, penguin punch, tutti fruiti, ocean mist, and tongue twister. The short descriptions with them explain what these creative options contain. Of course, for the less adventurous customers, original flavors like blueberry and cherry are offered, as well.

The prices start at $2.25 for a small and range up to $4.25 for a large. Additional charges are added for a third flavor or gummy toppings. There are also sample cups for 25 cents.

After picking up the snow cone at the window, customers can take a Snapchat of their treat, sit in the pink, green, and yellow lawn chairs, or snap a selfie with their dyed lips from the juice.

Senior Emily Komornik decided to try it out herself last week. She said her experience overall was impressive.

Penguin’z Snoballs appears to be a successful business and well liked in this area.

Like Kormornik said, “I love how we have a snow cone place. It’s perfect for summer coming around the corner.”
