New faces join Tunstall
Tunstall High School welcomed fourteen new faculty, staff, and administration members during the 2015-16 school year. While several are beginning their first year of teaching, others bring more experience with them to the faculty.
Mr. Brian Boles
Although a new face here at Tunstall, the new principal Mr. Boles is a familiar, friendly face to Pittsylvania County. “This is my fourteenth year,” he commented. Mrs. Morgan Stowe
New English 9 and English 11 teacher, Mrs. Morgan Stowe brings 10 years of teaching experience at George Washington High School with her to the faculty. Mrs. Stowe is already well known and loved by her students. Coach Matt Shelton
Coach Matt Shelton is one of many new teachers joining the faculty. Many students already know him from elementary school at Twin Springs. Throughout the 2015-16 year M. Ms. Shanice Hardy
Ms. Shanice Hardy serves as the new college advisor at Tunstall. She attended the University of Virginia and majored in women, gender, and sexuality. During her time at UVA, she served as a mentor for a ninth grader and became interested in helping students through this experience. Ms. Olivia McCraw
With the brand new school year, Tunstall High School has gained many new teachers. Ms. Olivia McCraw is one of the newest additions to the science wing. Mr. Ethan Brown
Mr. Ethan Brown is one of Tunstall High School's new science teachers. The subject he teaches is chemistry. Ms. Deanna Edmonds
Ms. Deanna Edmonds is new to the staff at Tunstall High School. She teaches agriculture and this is her first year teaching. Mrs. Cindy Mills is the new Information Technology Instructor serving Tunstall High School. She graduated from Averett University and taught business courses at Chatham for sixteen years before coming to this position. Mrs. Lorrie Moore is a new Special Education Teacher Aide that works with support classes and relieve ISS here at Tunstall. Moore worked for three years in Mathews County as a teacher's assistant. Mr. Richardson is only one of the new faces at Tunstall this year. He graduated from Elon University and has since been teaching for 25 years. Mr. Christopher Gee is one of the newest science teachers at Tunstall. He had previously taught at Dan River High School for six years.
