FBLA members win at district conference
Seven Tunstall High School FBLA representatives attended the Longwood District Leadership Conference on March 15.
Although Tunstall had seven students who qualified for states none will be attending because states will be held in Reston Virginia on April 9, which is the same weekend as prom.
President Amber Murphy says “my over all experience was AMAZING!!!”
Besides the workshops that the students were given, they were able to get the college experience from eating in the dining hall with the Longwood students to watching a tennis match.
Kristen Hudson, Josh Drew, and Kasey Marshall all placed 1st place in Banking and Financial Systems.
Kayla McGuire placed first in Business Law.
Sarah Goard, Chandler Wilkins, and Matt Yarborough placed 2nd in Place Marketing.
Kyle Davis, Dylan Haley, and Amber Murphy placed 3rd in Management Decision Making.
Several students that were not able to attend the conference were able to receive awards because of the previous testing, including Kasey Marshall and Kristen Hudson.
All students tested at Tunstall with Ms. Yeatts for the event and many walked away with awards.
