Students try new Pepsi product
At the grocery store, shoppers usually pay no mind to the different types of soft drinks offered and only reach for what they want. From Mountain Dew to Coca-Cola, it’s always the same predictable drinks available.
On Aug. 8, PepsiCo decided to do something about this by introducing Crystal Pepsi.
Crystal Pepsi was on the market in 1992, but it was taken off a year later. However, this clear soda made its comeback this summer.
Rumor has it that Crystal Pepsi tastes the same as normal Pepsi except it has a hint of citrus flavor.
Four students agreed to be guinea pigs and take the Crystal Pepsi challenge.
Senior Alyssa Harville was the first to try it out the new drink.
“It tastes like cherry,” said Harville.
Freshmen Shauna Adams along with Harleah Bowes had a different opinion and said it tastes like cotton candy.
However, senior Devin Weaver said it’s just like normal Pepsi.
Regardless of the taste, Crystal Pepsi is considered “healthier” because of its lower calories, no caffeine, and 100% natural flavors.
This new drink continues to rise in popularity as it did in 1992. Hopefully, this iconic drink will be here to stay this time.
