‘Coming alive in the fall time’

The Weekend’s newest album, “Starboy” has been causing stir among fans and critics. True die hard fans of the R&B artist have loved his music since he debut back in 2011. The fans have loved the way his style is and how creative he can be with music. Before he made “Starboy,” The Weekend wanted a change to himself and his music before he made this new album. The Weekend’s music has known to be emotional and have a deeper meaning, just like most music does but he wanted less emotion and more upbeat tone.

“Starboy” is very different for The Weekend’s fans because he wanted it to be. Since the album dropped, fans have been loving the futuristic feel of the album and it really does prove that fact. It is meant to show this is a new Weekend and it is better than ever. Before he decided to change himself, he wanted a change to his music; he was tired of making depressing and emotional music and wanted to create something more upbeat, less emoti0nal but also be something the fans would listen to and like. This is the second album of the R&B artist to be number one on the billboard top one hundred, the last album to do this well was “Beauty Behind the Madness” last year.

In “Starboy,” the most favored songs for fans are the title song “Starboy,” “False Alarm,” “Party Monster,” “I Feel it Coming,” and “Six Feet Under.” A majority of his fans have wondered why he makes his music in the fall, the reason behind this that is, one weekend in the fall he decided to become an artist.  This is also where he got the inspiration for his stage name (his real name is Abel Tesfaye).  He also explained why he makes music in one of his songs, “Coming from the king that a far cry ah, I come alive in the fall time” which is the only time The Weekend makes music.

“Starboy” is an album of change for The Weekend and fans, but some of the fans wish he would go back to making to more emotional, deeper music, but he isn’t going back and he has made that very clear to fans and critics this is a permenant change. The Weekend is truly making a name for himself in the music industry and this album could define his career.
